Robert Goren graduated with honors from Wayne State University Law School near the top of his class. He helped found the Law Review at Wayne State, and was its first managing editor. In 1969 he won a personal injury lawsuit in Wayne County Circuit Court which was, at the time, the largest personal injury verdict ever in the state of Michigan. More recently, he achieved one of the largest dram shop settlements in the state of Michigan against a bar for wrongfully serving alcohol to a drunken patron.
He has been appointed to represent the State Attorney General’s Office in uninsured motorist cases. He has been the chairman of the Oakland County Bar Association subcommittee regarding relations between the medical profession and the Bar Association.
He has spoken at numerous Michigan Trial Lawyer Association educational meetings, has achieved Martindale Hubbell’s top “AV” rating, and is listed in Who’s Who in American Law, as well as in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers. Robert Goren retired in 2005.
